The following gives a simple overview of what happens to your personal information when you visit our websites www.meditationeasy.de and www.meditation-easy.com and the Meditation Easy Mobile Apps (collectively referred to as „services“ in this document).
Responsible Party for processing data:
2. Collection and usage of personally identifiable information
By using our services, the user explicitly agrees that Omedito GmbH shall have the right to use all automatically collected personally identifiable information for purposes of the Meditation Easy application and future web services. We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer users’ personally identifiable information to outside parties.
We collect personally identifiable data from you during the registration, payment process and in connection with usage of our services.
Disclosure of information
Data about your use of the website, which ads you receive and, if any, click on, geographic location, gender and age segment, etc. may be disclosed to third parties to the extent that this information is known. You can see which third parties in the sections below. The information is used to target advertising.
In addition, we use a number of third parties to store and process data. These only deal with information on our behalf.
Disclosure of personal information such as name and e-mail etc. will only happen if you consent to it. We only use providers in the EU or in countries that can ensure adequate protection of your data.
We have taken technical and organizational measures against the fact that your information is accidentally or illegally deleted, published, lost, impaired or comes to the knowledge of a third person, misused or otherwise treated in violation of the law.
Period of storage
The information is kept for the time allowed by law and we delete them when they are no longer necessary. The period depends on the nature of the information and the background for storage. Therefore, it is not possible to specify a general timeframe for when information is deleted.
During your registration for Meditation Easy via our websites or Mobile Apps following data will be collected from you: email address, first name and photo. In the context of the balance of interests in accordance with Article 6 (1) (f) GDPR, we have considered and weighed up our interest in website provision and your interest in data protection compliant processing of your personal data. We will use and process your personal data only to enable the services for you, to process and execute your order, to provide you related information and to improve and optimize the content. You can withdraw your consent with us to process personal data at any time. You may also change your personal data in your account settings or you can delete your account completely.
During your registration process you are asked if you want to receive electronic information about meditation, our activities etc. via email. If you agree, we will add your email address to our Newsletter distribution list. At any point in time, if you prefer not to receive any Newsletters in future, you may opt out by following the directions provided within every Newsletter. Our Newsletter-distribution is managed by www.mailchimp.com (The Rocket Science Group, LLC, 675 Ponce de Leon Ave NE, Suite 5000, Atlanta, GA 30308 USA).
MailChimp is a service which organizes and analyzes the distribution of newsletters. If you provide data (e.g. your email address) to subscribe to our newsletter, it will be stored on MailChimp servers in the USA.
MailChimp is certified under the EU-US Privacy Shield. The Privacy Shield is an agreement between the European Union (EU) and the US to ensure compliance with European privacy standards in the United States.
We use MailChimp to analyze our newsletter campaigns. When you open an email sent by MailChimp, a file included in the email (called a web beacon) connects to MailChimp's servers in the United States. This allows us to determine if a newsletter message has been opened and which links you click on. In addition, technical information is collected (e.g. time of retrieval, IP address, browser type, and operating system). This information cannot be assigned to a specific recipient. It is used exclusively for the statistical analysis of our newsletter campaigns. The results of these analyses can be used to better tailor future newsletters to your interests. If you do not want your usage of the newsletter to be analyzed by MailChimp, you will have to unsubscribe from the newsletter. For this purpose, we provide a link in every newsletter we send. You can also unsubscribe from the newsletter directly on the website. Data processing is based on Art. 6 (1) (a) DSGVO. You may revoke your consent at any time by unsubscribing to the newsletter. The data processed before we receive your request may still be legally processed. The data provided when registering for the newsletter will be used to distribute the newsletter until you cancel your subscription when said data will be deleted from our servers and those of MailChimp. Data we have stored for other purposes (e.g. email addresses for the members area) remains unaffected.
Completion of a data processing agreement:
We have entered into a data processing agreement with MailChimp, in which we require MailChimp to protect the data of our customers and not to disclose said data to third parties. This agreement may be viewed at the following link: https://mailchimp.com/legal/forms/data-processing-agreement/sample-agreement/

By using cookies we want to make our online services more user-friendly, effective and secure.
You can delete or block cookies at any time by changing your browser settings. However, this may mean that our services are not functioning properly and that there is content you cannot access. In addition, ads might become less relevant to you and occur more frequently.
4. Google Analytics
Our services use Google Analytics, an analysis service by Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway Mountain View, CA 94043, USA.
Google Analytics allows us to analyze the website and application usage.
The information about your visit collected by Google Analytics is usually transferred to a Google server in the USA and saved there. Google will use the information collected on behalf of the application operator to evaluate the users’ use of the application, to compile reports about the users’ activities within this application, and to provide further services for the application operator related to the use of the application. Google Analytics cookies are stored based on Art. 6 (1) (f) DSGVO. The website operator has a legitimate interest in analyzing user behavior to optimize both its website and its advertising. We will not gather any personally identifiable information through Google Analytics.

5. Facebook integration
Our websites and apps are integrating social plugins of the social network www.facebook.com, Facebook Inc., 1601 S.California Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA ("Facebook"). They may be used for the following:
5.1. Registration and login via Facebook
We also offer you to register and thereafter login via Facebook. By using this function you are agreeing to the terms and data privacy of Facebook. By registering via Facebook, your Facebook profile data and data from your public Facebook profile will be transmitted to the Omedito GmbH. All transferred data will be collected, saved and used by the Omedito GmbH only for providing our services to you, e.g. for the purpose of registration for Meditation Easy.
When registering via Facebook you are agreeing to the transmission of your Facebook profile data to the Omedito GmbH and the transmission of data about the usage of our services to Facebook.
5.2. Share activities on Facebook
These plug-ins may be used to share activities on Facebook. An overview of Facebook integrations and social plugins can be found here: http://developers.facebook.com/docs/plugins/. Plugins are visible by a distinct Facebook logo, e.g. a white “f” or the addition “Facebook social plugin”. When you have a Facebook account and enable the Facebook connection, the Facebook integration establishes a connection between a user and the Facebook server. Thereby, Omedito GmbH receives information about you. You have to actively enable the Facebook connection in your settings in order to be able to share your activities such as liking and commenting on Facebook. If you do not want Facebook to gain information on the usage of our services or if you don’t want us to gain information about you via Facebook, you shall leave the Facebook integration disabled. Once enabled, you can disable the Facebook connection again in your settings at any time.
5.3. Facebook pixel
We use the “visitor action pixels” from Facebook Inc. (Menlo Park, California) on our website so that user behavior can be tracked after users have been redirected to the provider’s website by clicking on a Facebook ad. This enables us to measure the effectiveness of Facebook ads for statistical and market research purposes. The data collected in this way is anonymous to us, i.e. we do not see the personal data of individual users. However, this data is stored and processed by Facebook, which is why we are informing you, based on our knowledge of the situation. Facebook may link this information to your Facebook account and also use it for its own promotional purposes, in accordance with Facebook’s Data Usage Policy https://www.facebook.com/about/privacy/. You can allow Facebook and its partners to place ads on and off Facebook. A cookie may also be stored on your computer for these purposes. You can object to the collection of your data by Facebook pixel, or to the use of your data for the purpose of displaying Facebook ads by contacting the following address: https://www.facebook.com/settings?tab=ads.
